Recently I've started shooting subjects outside the five categories that have comprised my work to date. Included are vintage signs, like the one below, above a storefront on the Lower East Side. More will be added in time.
These columns are from the Union Square subway station. I happened on them one day, just as the MTA was scraping them clean in preparation for hanging a new ad campaign. Poster fragments commingled with layers of chipped paint to create startingly beautiful abstract forms and textures. This is "public, installation" art at its best!
