This is a photograph of a wall cut in the New York City subway (see the “wall cuts” Gallery for a general description of these panels).  This panel, with 2 others, was behind a locked gate at the end of the platform. I was able to access the area when it was briefly unlocked - and given just “5 minutes” to compete my work upon being discovered. The panels had been long deteriorating and were “no worse for wear!”
